Dr. Katеrina Ivanova was born in Krumovgrad and graduated from the Medical University – Plovdiv in 2018. She obtained her specialty in obstetrics and gynecology in 2022. In addition to her work at the Center for Maternal-Fetal Medicine in Plovdiv, she is part of the team at the Department of Conservative Gynecology at UMBAL “St. George.”
Even as a student, Dr. Ivanova demonstrated great motivation and dedication to medicine, volunteering at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UMBAL “St. George.” She gained additional experience during her three-year internship at the 24-hour clinic “Medicus Alpha.”
She is among the young doctors who choose to stay and develop their careers in Bulgaria, recognized with a scholarship from the “Young Medics for Bulgaria” foundation.
Dr. Ivanova is a co-author of clinical cases presented at prestigious scientific forums, including the “Modern School of Obstetrics and Gynecology” at the Medical University – Pleven and the “Science and Youth” competition.
Her interests are focused on gynecology, and she continues to enhance her knowledge through courses such as “Colposcopic Diagnosis and Destructive Treatment of Precancers.”
