Ultrasound examination (vaginal) to determine the presence of pregnancy, its location, the number of fetuses and the presence of cardiac activity, in view of the structures of the pregnancy for the relevant term.

This is the most important examination during pregnancy. It includes the following procedures: gathering detailed and accurate information about the condition of the pregnant woman and her family; dating the pregnancy and determining the exact term of birth by measuring the fetus; careful examination of all organs of the fetus; calculation of the risk of aneuploidies (Down’s, Edwards’ and Patau’s syndrome); assessment of the risk of developing gestational diabetes; assessment of the risk of developing preeclampsia (high blood pressure during pregnancy) and its prevention.
